A friend sent me these videos which come from a Japanese DVD aimed at men who are uncomfortable talking to women. By watching a DVD of women staring at them blankly, the idea is that they will get over any shyness or anxiety. Here are a couple of excerpts. I have a suspicion that this might not help too much.

hi … well I have conquered stumbleupon (well playing there anyway), then a friend showed me tumblr which I love, then another friend showed me their wordpress blog so i thought I would try this too. been finding lots of crazy and interesting sites. have also put up some of my own content on squidoo. beside the annoying boys saying “hi” on stumbleupon (whats with “hi”?! oh yeah baby that does it for me) it has been fun.
